How To Enrol

Step 1: Complete an Enrolment Application

Collect, complete and return an Enrolment Application along with all required supporting documentation.

Enrolment Packs are available from the Parent Foyer (F Block) or can be downloaded using the links below.

Step 2: Academy Program Applications (Optional)

Shailer Park State High School is proud to offer a wide range of award-winning Academy Programs that provide students with opportunities to pursue their passions while achieving academic success.

Our Academies are designed to develop students' skills, confidence, leadership, teamwork, and resilience. They also provide a wonderful opportunity for students to build lasting friendships with like-minded peers and feel connected to the school community from their very first day.

Through access to specialist coaching, expert staff, industry partnerships and high-quality learning experiences, Academy students are challenged to strive for excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Students interested in joining one of our Academy programs are invited to participate in the relevant Academy trial.

Academy trials are held each year during Terms 2 and 3 for students seeking entry into an Academy Program for the following year. Dates will be advertised 4 weeks prior.

Step 3: Attend an Enrolment Interview

Once your enrolment application has been submitted and reviewed, our Enrolments Officer may contact you to arrange an enrolment interview.

We encourage students to attend this interview with their parent or carer, as it provides an opportunity to learn more about our school, discuss subject pathways, explore opportunities available to students, and ensure a successful transition to Shailer Park State High School.

Year 7 Transition Program

Starting high school is an exciting milestone, and we are committed to making the transition to Shailer Park State High School a positive and memorable experience for every student.

Our Year 7 Transition Program, held during the final weeks of Term 4 each year, gives students the opportunity to step into high school life before their first official day. Across two engaging days, students will meet future classmates, connect with teachers, explore our campus, and experience a range of fun and interactive activities to build confidence and excitement for the year ahead.

The program helps students become familiar with school routines, expectations, and learning environments while developing friendships and a sense of belonging within our school community.

By the time students return for their first day of Year 7, they will already feel like a part of the Shailer family - confident, connected, and ready to embrace all the opportunities that high school has to offer.

We know that starting high school can bring a mix of excitement and nerves, and our Transition Program is designed to ensure every student feels welcomed, supported and prepared for a successful start to their high school journey.
