Years 7, 8 and 9
Junior Schooling is a phase of education in state secondary schools for Years 7, 8 & 9 which helps to ensure that the bridge between primary and secondary school is safe, supportive and consistent so all students can thrive.
The junior years of schooling play a pivotal role in laying the foundations for a successful journey through high school. During these formative years, students acquire essential academic knowledge while developing crucial skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication, creating lifelong learners.
At Shailer Park State High School, we strive to foster a sense of responsibility and independence, with a focus on our 4R Values- Respect, Reflection, Resilience and Resourcefulness, equipping our students with the tools they need to navigate the challenges of high school with confidence.
Through a combination of engaging lessons, Academy Programs, extracurricular activities, and personalised support, Shailer Park State High School caters for the individual needs of every student.
Our expert teaching and support teams guide students to thrive academically and personally as they progress through their educational journey.
The Junior School curriculum is designed to gradually introduce students to more complex concepts, for a successful transition into their senior schooling years.
