Vocational Education at Shailer Park State High School
Shailer Park State High School is committed to delivering high-quality vocational education and training opportunities to equip students with practical skills for the workforce. The school partners with accredited Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to ensure students gain industry-recognized qualifications aligned with the VET Quality Framework (VQF) standards. Students in Years 10. 11 and 12 have the opportunity to study a VET Course.
Qualifications Offered at SPSHS
Shailer Park State High School offers various qualifications, either directly (RTO 30434) or through partnerships with respected external RTOs. Loganlea offers VET courses at the following qualification levels under the AQF:

Through partnerships with external providers, SPSHS students have additional opportunities, such as:
- Certificate I in Construction*
- Certificate II in Hospitality*
- Certificate II in Cookery*
- Certificate II in Engineering Pathways*
- Certificate II in Health Support Services*
- Diploma of Business – Fee for service

Shailer Park State High School acknowledges any Qualification and/or Unit of Competency awarded by other Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). To receive credit transfer, learners must provide a certified Statement of Attainment from the issuing RTO, confirming the relevant units match those they are enrolling into at SPSHS.
The school will verify these certifications with the issuing RTO. The RTO Manager (or designated officer) will confirm this information using the Student Management System where applicable.
To process a credit transfer, the learner should submit:
- A certified copy of the qualification, transcript, or statement of attainment, verified by a Justice of the Peace (signed and stamped).
This approach ensures students can carry forward applicable competencies as they pursue vocational training at Shailer Park State High School.
