Aim

The Sting Futsal Academy has been operating successfully for many years at Shailer Park State High School, providing talented and committed students with the opportunity to advance their performance alongside their studies.
Overview
Since 2024, the Academy has partnered with Storm FC (FQ Futsal Club), creating genuine player pathways into high-level club futsal competitions. This strong partnership provides students with direct exposure to high-level futsal training environments, opportunities to trial and transition into Storm FC teams, access to bursary grants to support player development, and specialised goalkeeper clinics delivered in collaboration with club coaches.
Academy training sessions focus on advanced technical development, tactical game awareness, and high-speed decision-making. Students also have the option to participate in additional Strength and Conditioning sessions designed to enhance athletic performance, resilience, and injury prevention.
The Academy is led by Head Coach Cengiz Aslim, whose experience and leadership play a key role in the continued success and development of our student-athletes. The program is supported by a high-performing coaching team holding AFC B and C Licence accreditations, current FQPL playing experience, and Strength and Conditioning qualifications.
As part of the Academy’s holistic development model, students have access to health and recovery education, including excursions to the P3 Recovery Centre, rehabilitation and injury management seminars, and nutrition education sessions.
Regular Academy meetings are held to monitor academic progress, provide mentoring and guidance, and ensure all squad members are supported to achieve high standards and positive outcomes, both academically and athletically.
